Hello! My name is Logan Horton. I teach 6th and 7th Grade Social Studies at Chickasaw Middle School! I am pleased to welcome you to another amazing year at CMS/CHS! I have been an educator and coach since 2017. Prior to arriving at Chickasaw in 2019, I taught English and Geography at Florida Prep Academy, a boarding school, in Melbourne, Florida from 2017-2018. I also taught English and Social Studies at Valiant Cross Academy, an all-boys school, in Montgomery, Alabama from 2018-2019.

I am happily married to my wife, Kelsey, who is a social worker. I earned my Bachelor's degree from Troy University, where I was a brother of the Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity. I also have my Master's degree from the University of Mobile. I am currently pursuing my Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in Educational Leadership from The University of Alabama. I serve our students as the Head Soccer Coach for Chickasaw High School. I am proud of the progress we have made this spring as we have worked to develop Chickasaw's first soccer program. In addition to coaching soccer, I am also Assistant Football Coach, the defensive coordinator for middle school, and an offensive/defensive line assistant for varsity football.

It is my mission as an educator to equip my students to be successful both in and out of the classroom. I desire that my students become servant leaders within our community. Our classroom is a learning space where everyone is welcome and valued.
